The Plavi Lav (Blue Lion) is more than a symbol — it's our story.

We chose the lion to represent strength, courage, and pride — values that reflect the Bosnian spirit across generations. You may be asking, why did we choose the color blue?

Many years ago, the Bosnian language didn’t have words for all the colors we know today. Instead, Bosnians used the word “plava” (blue) to describe anything bright. To this day, Bosnians call blonde hair “plava kosa,” not because it's blue, but because it shines.

Plava was a starting point.

Plavilav is built on that foundation: something simple that carries meaning, memory, and brightness.
